I wanted a hotel close to Florence but also with grounds and a pool. Both were excellent. I hadn't planned on eating at the hotel every evening but the food, ambience and service were excellent. For those that fear having to save a bed by the pool every day, fear not, there are ample. The local buses into town are frequent but a 10 min walk away and don't adhere to forecast times, I didn't find it a problem, part of the experience of being in Italy. The hotel operates a shuttle but not always at the times I needed.

I will never stay anywhere else if I am lucky to visit Florence again. The entire place is absolutely stunning . The shuttle into the city was easy and cheaper than a taxi . The gardens are immaculate and the pool crystal clean and perfect after a long hot day walking the city . It’s a peaceful haven from the crowds . The staff are so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible . Most spoke and / or understood English enough to understand . This place is paradise .

Stayed at Villa Olmi for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Staying here was a nice break from the busy center and summer heat. They have a shuttle service that will take you to town and back. You can also reach the center and return with a Taxi! Room was large and clean, aircon worked very well. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The pool was wonderful with towels and loungers. I would absolutely stay here again next time visiting Florence.

The location, hotel and staff are amazing. We had been to Il Cavaliere before but not stay on premises. The gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. The hotel exceptionally clean and ordered. As always, the restaurant staff and menu fantastic. The breakfast buffet offered excellent food choices. Although we didn’t need it, we noticed shuttle service from there to a sister hotel in Centro, which is a huge bonus if you are there on holiday without a car. 15 minutes to Centro.

My only small suggestion would be for the restaurant to cater separately for children at dinner and lunch. Food was lovely, but expensive and there weren't necessarily straightforward children's choices - but this is where the staff pulled out all the stops and really helped us.
